Merqury Republic signs partnership with the Ghana Library Authority to promote reading among DJs

Merqury Republic Partnership With GhLA

Merqury Republic, organizers of the annual Ghana DJ Awards Festival, have signed a new partnership agreement with the Ghana Library Authority (GhLA).

Inspired by the 2022 “Year of Books” declaration by the GhLA, the agreement is purposed to encourage reading, support learning and development opportunities among DJs and other creatives across Ghana.

Plans are in place for events that explore connections, encourage lifelong reading, and enable DJs and other creatives.

The agreement signed at the Head Office of the Ghana Library Authority by Merqury Quaye, CEO of Merqury Republic, and Mr. Samuel Essuman, Head of Finance of the Ghana Library Authority, is to provide the framework by which the GhLA or its authorized agents and Merqury Republic or its authorized agents shall collaborate to promote a reading culture among DJs and other creatives through the Ghana DJ Clinic to promote the Ghana Library Authority’s “Year of Books” agenda.

Merqury Quaye, CEO of Merqury Republic, said: “Through the Ghana DJ Clinic, we have curated an educational platform to encourage learning among DJs and other creatives in the past, but this agreement will emphasize greatly the importance of reading and learning and will provide lifelong benefits for the industry with a range of significant activities planned for the coming months.”

“We are very excited to partner with Merqury Republic to champion learning and reading among DJs and other creatives,” Mr. Essuman said during the ceremony.

2022 marks the 10th anniversary of the annual Ghana DJ Awards Festival.
