On June 27, Accra’s Joy FM Street (Faanofa Street) was transformed into a vibrant carnival as Smirnoff In The Mix Street Edition took centre stage, lighting up the city with energy and colour.
Just two hours before the main show, the street was alive with bright decorations, festive lights, and a lively atmosphere that perfectly captured Smirnoff’s bold slogan, “We Do We.”
At the heart of this successful event was Merqury Republic, the creative powerhouse that ensured every detail came together seamlessly, from the vibrant street setup to the electrifying performances. Their dedication to creativity and flawless execution made the celebration stand out as one of the most memorable in recent times. In partnership with the Ghana DJ Awards, the event also guaranteed that the DJs’ sets were nothing short of spectacular, delivering fever-pitch performances that kept the crowd energized all night long.
This event was a powerful celebration combining the excitement of Smirnoff In The Mix with the milestone 65th anniversary of Guinness Ghana. It brought together music lovers, cultural influencers, and people from all walks of life to share a night filled with creativity, great music, and a strong sense of community. The gathering highlighted the shared spirit of connection and celebration that both brands inspire, making the night truly unforgettable.
The lineup featured Ghana’s top DJs and musicians including DJ Lord OTB, Chichi DJ, Wendy Shay, Kojo Black, DJ Sly King, DJ Wallpaper, DJ Phantom, and DJ Mish, the Female DJ of the Year. Each DJ delivered fever pitch performance, blending Hip-Life, Afrobeats, Amapiano and hip-hop to keep the crowd energized throughout the night. The carnival theme added a festive layer to the event, with guests and performers dressed in colourful, vibrant outfits that matched the street’s lively makeover.
The event also honoured Guinness Ghana’s 65 years of boldness and cultural impact. Ranstina Opare-Saforo, Corporate Communications Manager at Guinness Ghana, described the street party as a heartfelt way to thank loyal consumers and celebrate the vibrant community that has supported the brand over the decades. This tribute underscored Guinness Ghana’s enduring role in shaping the country’s social and cultural landscape.
Adding to the night’s excitement, Smirnoff introduced its new range of innovative flavours, including Spicy Tamarind, Electric Guava, Lavender Lemonade, and Watermelon Lime Smash. These fresh options, along with playful flavours like Whipped Cream and Fluffed Marshmallow, showcase Smirnoff’s commitment to creativity and inclusivity, appealing to a wide variety of tastes and enhancing the festive mood.
More than just a party, Smirnoff In The Mix Street Edition was a celebration of music, culture, and community spirit.
