The 12th annual Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, Africa’s premier DJ event, is fast approaching, and it’s time to nominate your favorite DJs.
Following the official launch of the festival on July 20, 2024 live on Joy Prime TV, public nominations for the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards is open from July 21, 2024.
Merqury Republic is therefore inviting nominations for DJs who have made significant contributions to the industry between November 2023 and November 2024, worthy of recognition and celebration.
The scheme aims to honor and recognize DJs for their impact on the Ghanaian music industry and the electronic music scene. The Guinness Ghana DJ Awards process begins with DJs, music artists, industry professionals, and fans submitting entries, which are then evaluated for eligibility and category placement by the jury.
The nomination jury, comprising experts involved in the creative and technical aspects of recording, production, and Disc Jockeying, will participate in
(1) the nomination process to determine the four or six finalists in each category, and
(2) a portion of the final voting process, alongside the Voting Academy and the general public, to determine the winners of the Ghana DJ Awards, with the results audited by a professional firm.
To submit a nomination, visit entry.ghanadjawards.org starting July 21. The Guinness Ghana DJ Awards encourages nominators to provide as much information as possible, including links, videos, and other references, and to include a contact name and email or phone number for the person being nominated.
Organized by leading event production company Merqury Republic, and powered by Smirnoff, the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards celebrate the most creative, influential professional DJs and the latest emerging talents.
