The 2025 Pub Fest kicked off with great energy and excitement at the popular Kona Lounge in Osu, Accra, on August 1st.
The event marked the start of a nationwide tour celebrating Ghana’s vibrant DJ culture through a series of lively parties held in pubs and lounges across the country.
The night was electric, with music lovers filling the venue to enjoy an unforgettable experience. The spacious Kona Lounge, known for its lively atmosphere, served as the perfect location for this energetic launch. Attendees danced the night away, joining in the celebration of Ghana’s top DJ talents.
Headlining the event was DJ of the Year DJ Lord OTB, fresh from his recent award win. Joining him on stage were popular DJs DJ Sly King, DJ Stunt, and DJ Cartoon, each showcasing their unique styles and keeping the energy high throughout the night. MC Nana King expertly hosted the evening, engaging the crowd and adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
The Pub Fest is part of the build-up to the prestigious Guinness Ghana DJ Awards later in the year, designed to highlight and celebrate the key role DJs play in shaping the country’s music scene. It also serves as a platform to bring fans closer to their favorite artists in more intimate and interactive settings.
Looking ahead, the next stop for the Pub Fest will be at the Bamobi Lounge in Winneba on August 8th. Fans can expect another night of thrilling music and great vibes as the festival continues across Ghana.
