Winner of 2018 Best Ashanti Region DJ, Best Male Radio DJ and Best Hiplife DJ, Daniel Gyan Kesse popularly known as DJ Slim has bowed out of the Ghana DJ Awards.
The Pure FM Drive Time host will not contest in the 2019 Ghana DJ Awards and perhaps in subsequent editions.
Announcing his decision to step down in an interview, DJ Slim said he had discussed with his team and arrived at this conclusion.
‘I had a discussion with a couple of my people and I told them that I really don’t feel like being part of this year’s celebration’, he said.
DJ Slim added that this decision will enable him offer support to all DJs and the Ghana DJ Awards scheme.
The award-winning DJ also stated that DJ Aroma is currently the hottest DJ in the Ashanti Region.
‘You know the hottest DJ in the region right now though, DJ Aroma, there is no two ways about that’, he opined.
DJ Aroma was crowned ‘Pub DJ of the Year’ at the 2018 Ghana DJ Awards Celebration.
DJ Slim mentioned DJ Lamar, DJ Aroma, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Mic Smith and DJ Loft as his top 5 DJs in Ghana at the moment.
It will be recalled that DJ Slim beat DJ Aroma, DJ Kaxtro, and DJ Reuben to win the 2018 Ashanti Region Best DJ at the Ghana DJ Awards.
