The much anticipated official launch of the 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards has been rescheduled. Originally set for July 12, 2025, the launch event will now take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
The time and venue remain unchanged, with the event still scheduled to start at 7 PM at the Luna Rooftop Bar in Airport City, Accra.
This launch marks the beginning of Africa’s biggest and most celebrated DJ event, now in its 13th edition. Under the theme “Shake the Floor,” the awards seek to honor and celebrate the vibrant DJ culture in Ghana, recognizing DJs not only as music selectors but as cultural curators who uplift communities through sound and energy.

The launch event will unveil the exciting lineup of performances and special activities planned ahead of the grand finale scheduled for November 29, 2025, at the Palms Convention Center. Pre-event activities include the Pub Fest, Ladies Concert, Nominees Jam, a nationwide tour, and the Ghana DJ Clinic, which offers education and development opportunities for DJs and music professionals.
Creative Director Merqury Quaye expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming season, highlighting the growth and energy within the DJ community. Fans can also look forward to a reggae sound clash between two of Ghana’s most iconic DJ groups, a highlight that promises to electrify the audience.
