Serato just announced the release of Serato DJ 1.9.7. The update includes support for the upcoming Numark DJ2GO2 controller (it ships with Serato DJ Intro, but is upgradeable to the full Serato DJ), as well as the Numark NS6II which was introduced earlier this year but has yet to ship.
We’ve seen a spike in Serato DJ-enabled devices this past month – Roland unveiled its DJ-505and DJ-202 DJ/producer controllers a few weeks ago, and Rane announced its Seventy-Two battle mixer and Twelve scratch DJ controller. Pioneer DJ, of course, has been actively putting out gear (eg Interface 2, DJM-250MK2, and so on). Could Native Instruments and Traktor have something new in store for us this year? Time will tell…
