During the launch event for the 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, MC Yaa Yeboah enthusiastically endorsed the event’s theme, “Shake The Floor,” describing it as a perfect reflection of Ghana’s vibrant DJ culture.
In an interview with Kofi Hayford, she said, “I love this year’s theme, Shake The Floor,” and explained that it shows the energy and creativity DJs bring to music.
In her conversation with Kofi Hayford, MC Yaa Yeboah voiced strong support for MC Portfolio to win the MC/Hypeman of the Year award. She praised Portfolio’s consistency and dedication in the industry, stating, “I think MC Portfolio deserves it. He has done so well, staying consistent on the journey,” and remembered how both Portfolio and DJ Manuel were deserving winners last year.
Reflecting on the legacy of the awards, which began in 2012, MC Yaa Yeboah shared her admiration: “That is no joke,13 years down the line, it’s phenomenal.” She highlighted the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards as the only consistent platform in the country that recognizes top DJs and industry professionals.
MC Yaa Yeboah also revealed Andy Dosty as her all-time favorite DJ, commending his impeccable timing, strong connection with the audience, and exceptional song selection skills. She emphasized that DJs are truly the “life of the party,” vital for energizing music lovers and shaping the entertainment landscape in Ghana.
