Seven Year Old DJ Entledelicious Is Making Waves with Her Music Talent

Seven year old DJ Necentle Monakedi, known as DJ Entledelicious, is proving that age is no barrier to following your passion.

From a very young age, she has loved music and is now becoming a popular young DJ, playing at events and earning money from her talent.

Entledelicious’s love for music began when she was just two years old. Her mother, Bonolo Monakedi, from Lotus Gardens in Tshwane, recalls a special moment when Entledelicious saw a DJ school for the first time. Instead of asking for toys like other children, she went straight to the DJ mixer and started playing.

Bonolo said, “We were walking in town and passed the DJ school. Entle went inside and started mixing. At first, I thought she was just playing because she was very young, but the owner told me to bring her back when she was four so she could learn properly.”

Though Bonolo and her husband were not very interested in music themselves, they supported their daughter. When Entledelicious turned four, they returned to the same DJ school, and the owner remembered her. He gave them application forms, and Entledelicious began formal DJ lessons, which she took from age two to six.

Now, Entledelicious is booking gigs and performing at children’s parties and events. One of her biggest moments was playing at the launch of the Refinery store for kids, the first of its kind in the country.

Her mother shared, “She has done many gigs and has earned thousands of rands. We are saving the money for her future.”

Entledelicious says she loves being a DJ because music makes her happy and she enjoys making other children dance. “I feel amazing when I see people enjoying my music,” she said.

Her father, Oscar Monakedi, is proud of her passion and talent. He believes every child has their own gifts and promises to support her dreams while also emphasizing the importance of education.

DJ Entledelicious is a shining example of how following your passion from a young age can lead to success. With the support of her family and her growing experience, she is set to inspire many more young people who love music.
