Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has been named a 2025 Goalkeeper by the prestigious Gates Foundation, marking a significant milestone in her philanthropic and music career.
Sharing the exciting news, DJ Cuppy expressed her pride in joining “legends driving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” and highlighted the power of passionate individuals coming together to create unstoppable change.
DJ Cuppy, a Nigerian-born disc jockey, music producer, and philanthropist, has consistently used her platform to support humanitarian causes. In 2024, she launched the Cuppy Fund, a philanthropic initiative dedicated to providing financial aid to talented African students pursuing higher education at New York University (NYU). Her commitment to education and empowerment has made her a prominent figure beyond the music scene.
Earlier this year, in May, DJ Cuppy was invited to perform at a Bill Gates event celebrating Africa Day, an experience she described as surreal and humbling. She credited her success to her “small DJ talent” and gave glory to God for the opportunities her music has brought her across the globe.
“I’ve been selected as a 2025 UK Goalkeeper by the Gates Foundation,” she wrote. “Why do I think Goalkeepers are important? Well, when passionate people from every corner of the world come together with purpose, real change becomes unstoppable.”
