Who is King Lagazee

King Lagazee, born Isaac Ago Tetteh Monney, is a renowned Ghanaian radio and television personality, sound system owner, farmer and multiple award-winning reggae and dancehall DJ. With a career in radio dating back to 1994 and television since 2011, he has been instrumental in promoting reggae and sound system culture in Ghana.

During the cassette era

Before joining Asaase Radio 99.5 FM, where he currently hosts the popular reggae show Yaad Settingz, King Lagazee built his reputation across several notable media outlets. His earlier radio career included stints at Sunme FM and Radio 2 in Koforidua, and he spent significant time at Hitz 103.9 FM in Accra, where he hosted Yaad Settingz for eight years. On television, he has worked with Hitz TV, Capital TV, and Care TV, further expanding his influence in the entertainment industry.

As owner of Lagazee Sound International, King Lagazee has played a key role in keeping reggae and dancehall music vibrant in Ghana. In 2024, he made history as the first Ghanaian and second African sound system to win a sound clash in Jamaica, cementing his international reputation.
