Kwaku Afriyie Asante Boateng, known in showbiz circles as DJ Pho was the official DJ at Otumfuo’s 20th Anniversary Celebration Dinner.
He performed in the presence of President Akufo-Addo, the First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo together with other high profile personalities from Ghana’s Parliament House, Judiciary and some state institutions.
In an interaction with ghanadjawards.org, DJ Pho indicated that he was never nervous performing in front of all these dignitaries because he believes that music unites every soul.
The turntable magician has also rocked events such as the celebration of the visit of Prince of Wales, Prince Charles and ex-President Mahama’s 60th birthday celebration.
DJ Pho is optimistic about winning awards at this year’s Ghana DJ Awards after a sterling performance in the year under review.
The entertainer wishes to establish a media school to train young and aspiring disc jockeys and MCs in the country.
